The Seaside Spring Spectacular Wedding Fair

Spring 2016 saw us cut the ribbon on our Brighton fair – the Seaside Spring Spectacular Wedding Fair. Held in the Brighton Dome Cafe with it’s glass roof and period features, this was a venue that more than did justice to the stands our exhibitors worked hard on making look so fabulous! Kate at Roberts and Whistles did an amazing job dressing the space and I know many hours went into hanging those lanterns the night before! Here at Belle’s Events we place real value on supporting unique and creative Sussex-based, alternative wedding businesses so it is always a huge

The New Oh My Honey 2016 Bridal Collection

One of the perks of this job is being invited to fab launch parties like this one! Earlier on this month, along with two hundred of the wedding industry’s movers and shakers, alternative, 1950’s inspired fashion designer, Louise O’Mahony unveiled her new ‘Oh My Honey’ Spring 2016 bridal collection at One Church in Brighton. Such a great buzz in this venue and just perfect for the event. The evening was brilliantly planned to reflect the fun nature of Louise’s collection, from the welcome drinks on arrival from The Old Tree Brewery and the pink and gold ceiling drapes and industrial lighting

The New Owner Blog |All change for this small wedding business…

Wow, this is a weird blog post to write. The small wedding business I have been nurturing for the past four years is no longer mine and I couldn’t be happier. Now, don’t get me wrong, I have had a blast, I have met some inspirational, creative, fun people while building Belle’s Events and I wouldn’t change it for the world. However, the time has come for me to hand over the baton to someone who can take it to the next level, whatever that may be. People have asked me . . . “why are you selling Belle’s Events?

Authentic Vintage Wedding Entertainment at it’s best . . .

I love hearing about how my exhibitors got in to the world of weddings, it’s nearly always heart warming or a total accident, this time it is sisters that loved to sing and dance from childhood. Here is the tale of ‘My Favourite Things’ who provide authentic vintage wedding entertainment. Once upon a time, there were two little sisters from the Midlands. One loved ballet, the other loved to tap dance. They would sing and dance to anyone who would listen and eventually found their way to the bright lights of London. A new commercial rage had stormed the industry

Is there anything worse that arriving at a wedding fair to be greeted by images of couples standing smiling at the camera with their chocolate fountain flowing in the background? A Very Cool Vintage Inspired Makeover

Helen (editor of Doily Day’s Loves Weddings Magazine) and feature writer Faye were invited for a vintage inspired makeover where bangs, peekaboo curls and victory rolls were the order of the day. With Buddy Holly playing on the radio and once pin curls were set, Ingrid deftly applied foundation with an airbrush before moving on to eyes, lashes, brows and a perfect pout, transforming them into a pair of wannabe 40’s Hollywood starlets. With clothes, accessories and props carefully selected the photo shoot began. The vintage inspired makeover was underway and the vintage heat was rising. A few stiff and awkward

It’s your wedding fair pitch, it’s your chance to shine. My Top Tips.

Many exhibitors ask me ‘what should my wedding fair pitch look like?‘ and the simple answer is that it should make couples stop in their tracks.
